Did iCloud+ prices go up in 2026?

Answered by Theo Kim, developer of PixLaundry · Checked 2026-10-28 · Next check: January 2027

Short answer Not in the US (or South Korea). As of 28 October 2026, Apple's price page still lists $0.99 / $2.99 / $9.99 / $29.99 / $59.99 a month. But in July 2026 Apple raised iCloud+ prices in eight countries — Nigeria, Türkiye, Vietnam, Japan, Egypt, New Zealand, the Philippines and Indonesia — by roughly 11–55% depending on the plan.

Current US prices

What changed in July 2026

On 17 July 2026 MacRumors reported that Apple had updated its iCloud+ price list for eight countries. Two examples from that report: the 50 GB plan in Nigeria went from ₦900 to ₦1,300 a month, and in Türkiye from 39.99 to 49.99 lira. MacRumors noted that US pricing had not changed, nor had pricing in any other country. Coverage suggested currency moves as the likely reason; Apple didn't give one.

If you live in one of those countries, your bill changes at your next renewal. Elsewhere, Apple's page is the place to confirm your local price — it lists every country.

Is a bigger change coming?

Nothing announced for the US or Korea as of the check date. We re-check Apple's page every quarter and update the date at the top.

If the price is what's bothering you

The usual reason a bill climbs isn't a price change, it's the library outgrowing a tier — 200 GB to 2 TB is $7 more a month in the US. Options, roughly from least to most effort: clean up duplicates and big videos, share one plan with family, or keep older originals on a computer or drive you already own and let iCloud hold only recent years. Our iCloud storage full guide walks through all three honestly, including when paying is simply the better choice.

FAQ

Did iCloud+ prices change in South Korea in 2026?

No. Korea wasn't on the July 2026 list. Korean prices (50 GB ₩1,100, 200 GB ₩4,400, 2 TB ₩14,000) date from 21 August 2024; plans started before then keep their old price unless you change or cancel them.

Does changing my plan lose an older, cheaper price?

For Korea, Apple says the older prices continue only while the plan isn't changed or cancelled. Check Apple's page for your country before switching tiers.
